BLTC celebrates the opening of their 3 new astroturf courts

Bridgwater Tennis Club celebrated the opening of their 3 new astroturf courts on Saturday 9th September with a fun social mixed tournament.

20 players plus guests and non-playing club members enjoyed the day of tennis, live music, cakes and a raffle.

Tony May, our previous chairman of 30 years, cut the ribbon and officially declared the new courts 'open'.

Thanks to Bob Kippen for organising the tennis and to all the helpers, cake bakers, DJ Rich etc for making the day such a success.

A special thanks to Carole Beach for all her hard work in securing our new courts and to our sponsors the Valencia Community Fund and the Hinkley Point Community Fund.

Bob's unique scoring system ultimately declared the winners as Rich & Heather with Bob & Ros as runners-up.
